On a Jagged Globe expedition or trek, you can be sure of being led by the best and most professional leaders in the business. We consider high quality leadership to be a vital component of any trip for it to be safe, enjoyable and successful. The majority of our leaders are fully qualified mountain guides or instructors, who have a broad base of high mountain experience from which our teams benefit greatly.
All of our expedition leaders are carefully selected for their appropriate experience, leadership skills and personal aptitude. They are all qualified in mountain first aid, and we provide them with the opportunity to attend specialist training courses which we arrange for them. Our regular leaders include full-time staff from Jagged Globe as well as the Guides & Instructors from our Scottish Winter Courses and Alpine Courses.
Qualified to lead
The great majority of our leaders are members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) or British Mountain Guides (BMG). While there is no legal requirement for our leaders to have qualifications (except in the Alps), the training and experience gained whilst qualifying contributes greatly to the safety, success and enjoyment of our expeditions and treks.
