Starting from the small village of Bonneval-sur Arc, this is a circular tour though the Carro, Evettes and Avérole huts taking in some of the most spectacular ski touring terrain of the region. Our high point will be the Albaron. An intermediate ski tour comparable to, but considerably quieter and wilder than, the Chamonix Zermatt Haute Route.

Start point: Bonneval-sur-Arc, Maurienne

Outline Programme

Day 1:	Course participants meet at the course base at 7pm. Briefing on the week's activities in the evening.
Day 2:	Ascend to the Carro Hut with the possibility of a few turns in the afternoon.
Day 3:	Ski over the Col de Pariotes, Col de Trièves and Col du Grand Mean to Evettes Hut.
Day 4:	Ascend the Albaron (3,637m) and ski to the Avérole Hut.
Day 5:	Either ski the fantastic Charbonnel (3,752m) or the Ouille d'Arbéron (3,554m) and out to the valley.
Day 6-7:	These days will be used either to do a day tour from the Carro Hut or to drop into Italy for a night or two at the Gastaldi Hut with the chance to climb the Gran Ciamarella (3,676m).
Day 8:	Dispersal. Breakfast will be provided on the last morning before leaving the course.

Pre-Course Skiing Ability

To join our Intermediate level hut-to-hut tours, you need to be a competent off-piste skiers/ski mountaineers capable of skiing slopes up to 35° and ascending for 4 hours with a 10kg pack. A foundation course such as the Introductory Ski Mountaineering would be ideal preparation.
